Improving retention in social care – what you shouldn’t ignore!

Thursday 17th March 2022

10am – 11am | Virtual Meeting

Guest speaker

Mitesh Dhanak

Chairman of Precious Homes

The NCF recently used the phrase “grim, difficult and relentless” in a press release about the social care landscape.

Staff shortages are certainly a huge factor in contributing to this.  Isn’t it time we stopped talking about recruitment and retention and instead make retention our headline focus?

This Cohesion Social Care Forum will look at how providers in all settings are trying to stem the flow of leavers from their services. Specifically we’ll be sharing a case study from Somerset Care sharing the strategy and activities that have been identified as opportunities to increase retention.

Mitesh Dhanak, Chairman of Precious Homes will be joining us to talk about the opportunities that Care Home Open Week presents us with.

We’ll hear about the latest methods, practice, tools and ways of working that can have a real impact on retention results as well as understanding more about what is influencing candidate behaviour.

If you would like practical ideas to improve your retention, sign up now.

Nutricia

Cohesion are an extension of us and really live our values. They never fail to deliver on promise and work hard to deliver a high quality candidate experience and service to us. We have complete faith that with Cohesion’s unique expertise they will continue to help build a strong talent pipeline for our Nursing Service.

The Fremantle Trust

Today, we have a healthy recruitment pipeline in most locations, our vacant hours are drastically reduced which has a huge impact on agency costs and quality of care. The average time to offer has reduced considerably and more encouraging is the quality of our new colleagues who are recruited for their ‘values’

Housing Client

I would definitely recommend Cohesion as a recruitment partner. Working with them has taken the pain out of the recruitment process.

Choice Support

Cohesion’s results were very impressive. The effort that Cohesion make to keep candidates engaged and move them efficiently through the recruitment process was key to helping us achieve a high attendance rate at interview and very low drop out post interview. I have been impressed with how responsive they have been to any issues raised and their ability to deliver candidates in a difficult recruitment market
